Hitler invaded most of Europe. Once the Nazis and Hitler surrendered, the people of Europe realized the damage that was done to them. There was rubble and destruction everywhere, as well as dead, decaying bodies in the streets. People who survived through the Holocaust were in terrible condition though. They were starving and had multiple diseases and wouldn't make it much longer. The Jews, though, never gave up their beliefs. They stayed worthy to God and prayed for help to end the awful war. The Jewish people said that they can be torn down and beaten up, but they will never stop hoping and praying. Elie Wiesel said, “There's a long road of suffering ahead of you. But don't lose courage. You've already escaped the gravest danger: selection. So now, muster your strength, and don't lose heart. We shall all see the day of liberation. Have faith in life. Above all else, have faith. Drive out despair, and you will keep death away from yourselves. Hell is not for eternity. And now, a prayer- or rather, a piece of advice: let there be comradeship among you. We are all brothers, and we are all suffering the same fate. The same smoke floats over all our heads. Help one another. It is the only way to survive.”
The expansion of the Nazi invasion started in Germany and made its way through most of Europe. They became allies with Russia, but then betrayed them and attacked them without success. Despite Germany's downfall from backing away from Russia, they still barged on, taking over many countries in Europe and leaving a trail of death behind them.
